Most PDF tools upload your file, process it in a data centre and send it back. PDF Omnia has no backend at all — the app never makes a network request with your document in it, because there is nowhere for it to go.

The things people ask before installing
Is it really free, or is there a paywall later?
Every tool is free and stays free. There is one optional in-app purchase called No Ads — a single one-time payment, not a subscription — that removes the advertising. It unlocks nothing, because nothing is locked.
Do my documents get uploaded anywhere?
No. The app has no backend and makes no network request containing your files. Scanning, OCR, merging, signing and conversion all happen on your device. The only traffic the app produces is for the ads it shows and the check that confirms a purchase.
Why are some tools marked iPhone only?
A few of them — signing, annotation, form filling, encryption, compression, crop and resize — are built on document frameworks that Apple ships with iOS and Android has no equivalent for. Rather than show buttons that fail, the Android app hides those tools until they are rebuilt, which is work in progress. Everything you can see in the app on your device works on it.
Does it work without an internet connection?
Yes. Turn on airplane mode and every tool still works, because none of them depend on a server. Only the ads need a connection.
I bought No Ads and reinstalled. Do I pay again?
No. Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google Account you bought it with, and it comes back.
Can I open a PDF from another app?
Yes. PDF Omnia registers as a PDF handler on both platforms, so it appears in the share sheet and in "Open with" for any PDF on your device.
