Privacy Policy

1. Your documents never leave your device

Every operation the app performs — scanning, OCR, merging, splitting, converting, signing, annotating, watermarking, compressing and password protection — runs locally on your device's own hardware.

We operate no servers that receive user files. The application contains no code that uploads a document, a page, a scan or an extracted image. Your files stay in the app's private storage on your device until you delete them, share them yourself, or uninstall the app. We cannot see them, cannot recover them, and cannot be compelled to hand them over, because we never hold them.

2. Permissions the app asks for

What is requested differs by platform, because the two systems provide these capabilities differently.

On iPhone and iPad:

• Camera — to scan physical documents into PDFs.
• Photo library — to import images for conversion, and to save exported files.
• App Tracking Transparency — so you can choose whether Google AdMob may use your device identifier for personalised advertising.

On Android:

• Photos and media — to import images for conversion and to save exported PDFs and images.
• Advertising ID — used by Google AdMob to serve ads, measure their performance and prevent fraud. You can reset or delete it at any time in Android Settings.

The Android app does not request camera access. Document scanning is performed by the Google Play Services document scanner, which runs outside our app and returns only the finished scan.

3. What our advertising provider collects

The free version of PDF Omnia shows advertising through Google AdMob. To do that, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects the following and shares it with Google. This list matches what we declare on the Google Play Data safety form and Apple's App Privacy questionnaire.

Google processes this under its own privacy policy. We never receive identifiable personal data through it, and no part of any document you open is ever sent to it.

In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app shows Google's consent form before serving personalised advertising, and you can reopen your choices from the app's Settings screen at any time.

4. Purchases and payment

PDF Omnia offers a single optional in-app purchase, No Ads, which removes advertising. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play. We never see, receive or store your payment details, card information, or your Apple ID or Google Account password.

We use RevenueCat to confirm and restore purchase status across your devices. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier generated on your device and the store receipt for the purchase, solely to determine whether you are entitled to the No Ads benefit. It does not receive your name, email address, payment details or any document content. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

5. No accounts, no profile

There is no sign-up, no login and no account of any kind. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, calendar, messages or health data. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell data to anyone — we have none to sell.

6. Children

PDF Omnia is a document utility intended for a general audience aged 18 and over, and it collects no personal information from any user regardless of age. Because all document processing is local, the app protects the privacy of everyone who uses it, including children.

7. Retention and deletion

Your documents live in the app's storage on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app. Temporary working files can also be cleared at any time from Settings.

Purchase records are retained by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat for as long as is needed to honour your No Ads entitlement — deleting them would remove your ability to restore a purchase you paid for. Your advertising identifier is under your control: you can reset or delete it in your device settings at any time.

8. Your rights under GDPR and CCPA

Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and California have rights of access, correction, deletion and objection over personal data held about them. Because we hold no user accounts and store nothing on servers, we hold no personal data to produce or delete. The data described in section 3 is held by Google, and you can exercise your choices over it through the app's consent settings and your device's advertising controls.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, note it in the app's release notes.
